Disassociate a storage system from the system profile

A system profile is a subset of system settings that are associated with at least one storage system. The settings are defined once as part of a system profile and can then be applied to more storage systems.

About this task

To remove a link to a system profile for one or more multiple storage systems:

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Unisphere for PowerMax.
    The home dashboard view is displayed.
  2. Optional: Go to the left panel and click Configuration > System Profiles to open the System Profiles view.
  3. Optional: Click the System Profile name.
    The System Profiles storage system view is displayed.
  4. Select the storage system to unlink from the System Profile and click Remove System.
    The Remove System option is not available if all storage systems are selected, or if only one storage system is associated with the system profile.
  5. Click OK on the confirmation window.
    The System Profiles storage system view is updated.
